The animatronic head of the Brachiosaurus on set. The T-Rex animatronic endured countless issues with the rain on set, and would continually malfunction. The legendary Stan Winston inspecting the T-Rex animatronic head. Stan Winton Studios was responsible for bringing the dinosaurs to life. The steel animatronic T-Rex skeleton before the foam rubber skin was added to the creature. The foam latex rubber skin had to be applied in hundreds of sections, glued specifically in place. The team would have to consider the fact that the rain on set could potentially shrink the rubber, causing breakage. This created a daunting and stressful task.
